NYFW SS2016
NYFW is the Oscar's of the fashion industry. Buyers, celebrities, journalists and fashion fanatics flock to Manhattan to see a glimpse of the following season's trends. Designer's showcase their collections via runway shows, standing presentations and even break-out dance performances as seen in Opening Ceremony x The NYC Ballet.
At Karma for a Cure, we celebrated; the life of an adventurer, escapist, beautiful soul, my father, Fred Minutolo. The new SS16 Jet Set Collection inspired by his lifestyle of travel and culture is relaxed, luxurious and transitional. With neutral color palettes, the engineered knits drape effortlessly and elegantly; ready to voyage from jet-set to surf-side. We collaborated with Hotel Chantelle on our NYFW presentation to transport guests to a swanky Hotel Lobby aside retro suitcases, palm leaves and models lounging in our new collection. Emulating the pure essence of sophisticated, yet comfortable travel. The private presentation included the premiere of our look-book video by Moonculture Flims followed by a live performance by international DJ Raffael De Luca. Guests sipped curated cocktails provided by Hooch, mingled amongst the candle-lit crowd and had exclusive access to pre-order the new collection.
Karma for a Cure is on a mission to create positive social impact worldwide. The SS16 Jet Set Collection is only the beginning of meshing fashion and philanthropy during NYFW. Cheers to good karma..
