Daily Fashionista's Night Out at The W Hoboken
Dana Prigge of Daily Fashionista hosted a fun, fashion filled night at The W Hoboken's newest restaurant: Halifax. As a NJ native, I love trying new local restaurants and meeting fellow fashionista's in the industry. I wore one of my newest designs, The Traveler Jumpsuit, (coming soon) and shared a sneak peak of the inspiration behind my newest collection - Royal Gardens.
Girl's night began with a chilled Prosecco toast to Dana, recently engaged, followed by amazing curated cocktails, ("Lavender Fields" anyone?). The menu, entirely made from local and sustainable ingredients, offers house smoked meats and seafood plus sea-salt made freshly from water in Montauk. The ladies and I loved the coastal inspired cuisine, mixed with a sultry setting. The NYC skyline views and chill music also added to the fashionista approved ambiance.
I began dinner with the "Sea Bream Tartar" made with fresh lime, fennel, radish, caviar and sunchokes. It was ah-mazing: flavorful, healthy and refreshing. I then carb-loaded on the "Maine Lobster Rigatoni" made with coral butter, trumpet mushrooms and lemon. Literally, to-die for. Not listed on the menu: the rigatoni is home-made, creating a beautiful shape and even more delicious texture. If that weren't enough, I then indulged in the "Warm Apple Fritters" served with three dipping sauces; so worth the calories.
Halifax, named after the capital of Nova Scotia, is a fashionista + pescetarian approved spot for foodies traveling to or "stay-cationing" in Hoboken. They serve an awesome sunday brunch with happy hour and the service is great. Congrats, Dana Prigge, and thanks for having me at The W Hoboken Fashionista's Night Out!
P.S. If you've been to The W Hoboken's previous restaurant, Zylo, I urge you to try Halifax. It's a completely refreshed and unique dining experience.
