Team KARMA for a cure® by Margaux premiered their SS17 “Chasing Sunsets” Collection at NYFW on September 12th aboard a 160ft yacht named “Fish Bar” in collaboration with private cocktail society, HOOCH. The Resort & Travel-wear brand drifted guests away from the busy concrete jungle along calming coastal waters to create an intimate experience unlike any other during NYFW. The presentation transported guests to a vacation state of mind by tapping into a multitude of human senses – guests felt the tranquil movement of the waves, inhaled the sweet scent of coconut aroma, listened to the soothing sounds of vocalist JULEA and attentively viewed the sunset inspired collection drifting around the circular shaped runway creating an overall mood of casual elegance. Photography was kept limited in order to not disturb the mental passport of destination relaxation.

The SS17 bohemian inspired collection featured relaxed silhouettes, free-flowing fabrications and muted pastel palettes that matched the dreamy sky as the sun began to set. The select viewers described the presentation as “unpretentious, relatable, and timeless for all ages” with many requesting, “all I need now is the clothing and a first-class ticket to Bali.” KARMA for a cure® by Margaux is the first RTW brand to create an exclusive, under the radar, experience of laid-back luxury at NYFW, altogether with an authentic vision and pure mission of positive social change.

Founder & Designer, Margaux, continues to create elevated resort-wear made to set sail and chase the sun inspired by her late father Freddy’s love for the ocean, fishing and travel. KARMA for a cure® by Margaux is made to explore the world while giving back to cancer research in his honor.

Escape with us and join the movement.

Xo, Team KARMA
